But aren't those screw-on? And how do you remove the **** on a stock auto shifter? In mine, it has the ball with the button on top, but there is no apparant way to remove it, other than the fact that it is broken and can be pulled off. With it pulled off, it looks like there is a plastic bar in the shaft, with a metal clip on the underside of the button that holds the bar on.

I actually like those Did you color your own PRND321 by yourself? Or buy those aftermarket? That seems like a good idea. I want a black/red combination with my car. Thanks for the pics!

yeah the PRND21 thing was me. it took a fair bit of work to do it right.

theres actually normally an orange plate in there, so i created a blue one.

i logged the whole project with a digital camera and its going on my mods page as soons as i get around to getting back to it.

flynlow, i know what you mean man... but jeze do i love my gf

Hey theSteve, thanks for posting that pics... you have got to send me a few pics explaining how you did the prnd21 in blue... I just remove my center console and re did the whole thing.. and in tring to change that orange **** to blue, I accidently wiped off all the prnd21!!!(I'll post some pics of the interior soon)
Yours looks very good... Let me know..I really hope there is something I can do, I only have a clear piece of plastic now!

Thanks
Fredel

EDIT: forgot my email for those pics of yours...fredelm@sympatico.ca

to answer the other question, they are held on with snap rings (looks like a c clip with two little eylets at the opening) if you can borrow snap ring plyers from a freind it'll take seconds to take off and reinstall. Otherwise, do like i did. Use tips of needle nose pliers to separate and get it off, and use precision screwdrivers to work it back on... If available, go with the snap ring plyers though... no hassle involved.

(By the way, i only have camaros, i have never worked on a bird and can't vouch for my methods, but i assume they must have a similar system)
