They should compare the stock weight for each piece with the fiberglass counterpart.

Its for the weight savings. But I dont know how much lighter it makes the car. I'm guessing 300-400 pounds lighter.

Fiberglass Doors = No power windows. Lexan only.

Those body pieces are for all out race cars... fiberglass doors wouldn't be that safe for the street (imagine getting broadsided ) As for the lexan windows.... Lexan scratches if you so much as even look at it, plus they dont roll down, permanently attached in the up position

Aren't vette's all glass? If the whole door shell is fiberglass, sure it might be unsafe, but if it's reinforced, I don't see a problem for street use.

theres steel reinforcement underneath.... the glass bodykit would be nice if you had a full tube chassis and a rollcage though

Um, it's for full tube chassis race cars.

some of the parts could be used for the street. But yeah it is mostly for a tube chassis car. It would be nice to use instead of ripping apart a original 3rd gen.

I just thought it was nice to know that we could get a full fiberglass body if anyone had the money to build it.

Well, I could save weight by removing all my panels and replacing them with fiberglass parts, and then add weight by putting in the rollcage I'd need to make sure I don't die from the fiberglass parts.
