Speakers in the back seat.
Speakers in the back seat.
I have a question for you all. I am sure I will get all sorts of hell for posting this question here but it goes in two different locations so I will post it in both. What do you think of taking the bottom of the back seat out and building a box for speakers? If I did this and left the top of the seat in should I put the speakers in the front or the top of the box? I would like to add some speakers and I really don't want to leave them out in the open so they can get stolen. Do you think this would work or is it going to be a waste of money? I really don't use the backseat for anything but putting a bunch of junk that is all ready in the car. Thanks for your help.
Lots of people use the backseat to mounts sub boxes/amp racks, and it works just fine, so long as you don't mind losing the functionality of having a rear seat. (I don't even think you can call it a SEAT legally anyways LOL, I highly doubt it was designed with people in mind). As long as you are removing the seat bottoms, why not take out the seatback as well? It will allow you a little more flexibility in your mounting options. Keep in mind to be careful when mounting stereo equipment around the "hump" there, as the gas tank is directly underneath it.
