MY NEW FRONT END

This is what someone gave me for Christmas. I was hit by a drunk driver that turned in front of me at an intersection. Don't know if he has insurance yet. He got a DUI so I am atleast able to sue him, but it didn;t look like he has any money cause he was driving a car that looked like it should have been in a junk yard and not on the road. I don;t know what to do. Should I repair my car or get a new one and part that car out for parts. I don;t know if the frame got bent yet. If it is i know i am not going to keep this car. I havent done anything to the car yet cause I am waiting on the police report to see if he has insurace or not. Hopefully he does.

My friend Sara's best friend was on the way to to the hospital to have a baby and they were hit by a drunk driver driving on the wrong side of the interstate. 3 people in the car going to the hospital and the drunk driver in the mustang. 3 people and the unborn baby were killed. The drunk driver was one of the persons killed.

Sorry to hear that. I atleast wasn't hurt . I am really ticked off about my car, but after hearing your story it makes me feel glad to still be here. Everybody is telling me thankgod you weren't hurt and cars can always be replaced. All i know is now I have a lot of work to do to my car . Im trying to find a donor car for under a grand. So I can take the front end and switch them. I just got the car about 4 months ago and it was just painted and fixed up. Now I have to do everything all over again. This time I think I might paint it Black, but i will worry about that later when I get it all fixed up again. All I know now is that when I get it done I am going to make it look even better and faster then before cause i can put my cam in while the front end is off.

sucks man. i had an accident from a few months ago. my insurance covered the car pretty well, using "market value" for other TAs of the same year they found for sale in my state. dont settle for less! also if you have any receipts show it to em. they wont give you full price but you should get some more.

as far as sueing, im not sure how far you will get... did you have any injuries??? that is usually the basis for sueing, pain and suffering, etc.. if an old lady gets in a fender bender and is hurt worse than me in a head on collision, she will get compensated more.

it could be different with a DUI though, im not sure. you should talk with an attorney ASAP, who can advise you.

I would first get some quotes on how much it will cost to be fixed... Take the one that is the most and use that one for your lawsuit, if it comes to that...

I am beginning to like MI, We have no-fault insurance, which means that my insurance company pays no matter what, it does not matter if the other guy has insurance... But if they do then the ins companies battle it out...

the down side is ins is a little more because of it...
