Best place 2 get new fenders - -

I know it's been asked plenty of times, and yes I can find more out by using the "search button".

The body shop that I'll be getting my car painted at recommends that I go ahead and replace the fenders. He says he can get them for 80 bucks each. Is that HIS price??

Anyways I'd like to get the most up to date info on the cheapest place I can get new fenders that fit nicely. They dont have to be NOS, but I want reasonable quality. The car only gets driven when it's dry out. I don't need any more rust.

It makes more sense if I can get a fender fro 80 bucks rather than paying him 75 each to prep the ones I have, besides they are rust pitted along the bottom, but not rusted through- yet.

I realize I will most likely have to drill holes for the ground effects too. I should be able to handle that.

Help!!

And - If I can't find them that cheap, then I'll call his bluff and let HIM get them. Of course he'll charge me to install them also.

Any help appreciated.

or

www.classicindustries.com

Hope this helps.

They're still available from the dealer.

Nothing except OEM will fit worth a damn.

Thanks for the info guys.

I went to the local junkyard today and came across a 88 Camaro that was pretty shot, but had a perfect LH fender!!!

But alas - not perfect... had a lttle rust under the ground effects, but it's not all the way though. Other than that - it'll work just fine.

BTW: for 80 bucks, I got a fender, a almost new looking set of black-stripe tail lights to replce my RH cracked one.

Along with yet another Camaro Quartz clock. The one I presently have only works when it wants to. Hopefully this one will work - I didn't test it yet. lol

I still CANNOT seem to get power window switches.

Every time I go to that junkyard, they've been ripped out already. Anyone know of a good place to get these?/

Go here http://www.thirdgenresource.com/onli...d=2392&cat=943 they are 12.95 a piece but theres nothing that compares to new parts I've used thirdgenresource many times before with no disapointments to date. I highly recomend them

If you want to unload some of your non-working clocks cheaply, let me know.

Jim85IROC - The clock I presently have installed only seems to work right after I set the time. Then a day or less later, it will stop again. So I got this other one and I hope it works better. I'd like to get mine fixed if there was a place that does the repairs I would send it there. What normally goes wrong with these clocks?

BTW..there are still 1 more I left at the junkyard. They usually sell them for 5 bucks each. I've read on this board that they were fairly rare, but I seem to find them all the time. I did notice one small difference between the two I have. One has a red second hand, and the other is white.

Also I found a 82 T/A with rear disc brakes that I was eyeballin. I cant tell what the gear ratio is because it's sitting on the ground with no tires on it, so I can't see the stamping on the axle housing. If it is a 3.43:1 posi or lower, I would most likely buy that too. Any way to tell with the car on the ground?

Oh, and thanks for the link 85SportCoupeto89RS -
Sounds like a decent deal to me! I think I'll order my switches from them.
