I am about 90% dont with my 4th gen swap and now the buzzer wont shut off after I start my car. it only goes out if i pull the seatbelt out about halfway and more. what gives here. Does thathave something to do with my new dash.

I know this happened on my IROC when I first bought it. Here's what cased it on my car and perhaps this will lead you in the right direction. On the back of the 3G cluster there is the twist in sockets that hold the 194 bulbs. I found out that the socket was missing out of the SES light hole. But no buzzer yet though. So I went to the wreckers and got a spare socket and bulb. Plugged in the socket and bulb only to find out I had a code 32...doh! But still no buzzer. So I didn't have the money right then to buy a new MAF, so I removed the 194 bulb, but left the socket still in the back of the cluster. NOW the buzzer stayed on until the seatbelt was plugged in. So basically, the circuit for the SES light on you new 4th gen dash is not completed. You need a bulb in the spot to completed the ciruit. Or the other less desirable option would be to unplug the connect for the belt that senses whether the belt has been pulled out of not...it's actually part of the seat belt retractor. But I'm sure that you'll want the SES to be working though.

Why not remove the buzzer from the convience center? Mine buzzes for about 15 seconds and that is the most annoying sound in the universe.

I like the buzzer cause otherwise I'd forget to turn off my parking lights and fogs and kill my battery.

You guys must have more tollerance to annoying noises than me. I had the buzzer off of the car since I started restoring the SC "Nov 2000" and put it back on monday after a trip to my favorite j/y. I guess I havent gotten use to it yet.
