If it would be a definat significant difference, i might just abandon it and go with the 4th gen install. Where could i get information on all the wiring for the guages and hvac controls? I searched but didn't find a source to the wiring. I am not exactly the best at electrical stuff so i would need a book for dummies, lol. if anybody could help, thanks.

As for the diagrams/hvac, best place is a gm service manual.

I was wondering the same thing.
I actually had my friends car at my house the other day and didn't even bother to measure the dash,

Oh, and I got to drive this bad-boy too, nice ride, but not as fast as I am used to, only 385hp.

Th wiring for the 93-96 dashes is pretty straight foward. it took me a few days to get all the wires spliced and connected to the right wires. The hardest part of my job was the actual installation of the dash itself. Took a little time to make it fit right because I had make brackets for the bottom of the dash to bolt to the car. Getting the wiring diagrams for your car from the Chiltons book. its the thick book with th ered Iroc on the cover. it helped alot. I had the Haynes one out but its now in the trash.

Man that dash would look sweet in a thirdgen! Everyone is wanting to put 4th gen dashes in. If you were able to take the time to get it to work that would be very nice. I hope you are able to do it.

Hey Zepher, you suck man. Why does a 6 speed Vette have to feel slow to you? I wish it would feel slow to me

Well, most of the cars I've driven were either were faster or felt faster. One of my buddy's owns a 01 Viper GTS that I had the opportunity to drive once and that was a sweet ride. Didn't feel all that fast though, my brothers 96 T/A "feels" faster due to the high torque at low rpm but I know that the ZO6 and GTS were much faster, just didn't have that feel though.
My friends 95 Supra TT is actually faster than both the ZO6 and GTS which is the second fastest car I've driven, first being my friend Saud's Supercharge 2000 Roush Stage 2 Mustang with 525rwhp at the time I drove it. Has over 600rwhp now.

Dang, I need to move to VA. There is one Z06, one Viper, and one 92 Ferrari(sp?) in town that is it. And none of them race. Sucks.

We have a few lambos, some ferrari's, a couple of Lotus's, etc...
You just don't see them that often.
Vettes are all over the place but there are way too many Mustangs in our area.
Most Thirdgens in our area are ragged out looking, but there are quite a few nice ones too.

Do you ever go to any of the local hang outs? We usually go to the old Ames parking lot on Airline Blvd in Portsmouth, it's off of Victory Blvd if you take 264. We go there Friday and Saturday evenings around 11pm or so.
