anybody try thirdgenresource.com new seat covers?
well my iroc project is far from winding down but now that the rest of the car looks so nice it makes my seats look really shabby. thirdgenresource.com has new seat upholstry for about 300 all the way around. has anybody tried these? do they look good? how hard are they to install? anybody who has them please speak up. thanks

Ask, and ye shall receive.
I bought mine from Hawks Thirdgen Parts. I would recommend them over Thirdgenresource. They are the same seatcovers. I'm not into flaming, but I've had......well, less than spectacular dealings with thirdgenresource. But don't take my word for it, so have a lot of people. Bruce Hawkins who owns Hawks TGP, on the other hand, has gone above and beyond the call of duty. He worked with me quite a bit to help match the Medium Beechwood interior color, and I'd say he did fantastic. On a seperate occasion, he sold me a bumper cover, and went out of his way to find me a red one to match my car, even though I didn't ask him to. I decided to paint it anyway, but you get the idea....
....but before Bruce gets a big head...
I have not installed them yet, because the previously mentioned bumper and the rest of my car are going to the paintshop next week. You can see from the pics that they look great. I got the doorpanels too, since I was concerned about my factory dp's matching the new seat covers. As is turns out, they were pretty much right on, but mine were kinda shabby, so it was worth it.
I have Hi-res pics if you wanna shoot me an Email.
I think I paid just under $500 shipped....2 front, 2back, 2DP's

For some reason the "collage" of seat pics file doesn't want to post....

I bought my full set of seat covers from thirdgenresource, the covers were OK with the following comments :
1. They do not come with the "bar sleeves" fitted. In the standard covers these sleeves allow the covers to fit tight around the seat pad contours.
2. They have a zipper the full length of the back of the front seats.
3. Allow yourself at least the weekend (or a very long day) to complete the job. (Many, many, hog rings!)
4. Don't expect thirdgenresource to be helpful if your shipment is late.

I think the prices are pretty similar....keep in mind I got doorpanels too.....which is a good idea so they all match exactly.
I also am pretty sure they are the same product...but I'd just prefer not to do business with thirdgenresource. And on top of that, it's not only that I got decent service with Hawk's, I got FANTASTIC service with Hawk's. Do a search on the "vendor" board. You will find many people who have problems with Thirdgenresource, and very few who have bad experiences with Hawk's.
...it's up to you.
