The guy who tinted my car says he had to usea heat gun to get everything to lay right with teh curve we have back there!
redraif is right...you have to use a heat gun to shrink the tint so it fits the curve. I have heard that it's a PITA to do it and many people cannot do it. Just pay to have a professional do it.
I just had my windows tinted this past saturday for $150 for all 3 windows, with a lifetime warranty, and the rear hatch in one piece of tint. The guy that did mine has done over 200 f-bodys. he did a damn good job

i was always curious as how they get around the 3rd brake light on the rear hatch that is mounted to the glass. can they get around that, i plan on getting my car tinted in a month
usually they dont tint all the way up to the frame. If you notice on the back glass, there is a black paint on the inside of the glass. They usually tint just past where the black stops because it is not needed where the black is. So if the brake light is mounted on this black painted area...then they dont need to go around it. If its not, they will have no prob getting around it.

I say let the pros do this one. It's a much better job then if you do it yourself and $150.00 really is not a lot of money for a professional job with a lifetime warr.
