Quarter panel rot, please help!

I checked the other 1/4 panel threads, but they seemed to be for 4th gens............ anyway, I have horrible rot on both quarters and the wheel houses, and was quoted 1200 at a body shop for them to do all the labor and prime the things, and I have to supply the parts! Is this too high of a price, or am I underestimating the amount of work needed to do this?

thats seems a bit pricy if you have to supply all the stuff, your best bet is to go to a junk yard and find what your looking for, thats what i'd do,

The junkyard would be a great Idea if quarter panels came off with bolts or something but these are welded parts!
The price actually seems reasonable to me. I think you are underestimating the work involved.
Good Luck!

If they are gonna cut out both rear quarters, and put new one's or old ones cut out of another one then thats a great price.

I'm a little hesitant here, as I need other parts too; and I'm starting to wonder if it is worth it. My rear floors are shot, you can see the foam part under the car! If I kick the rear bumper-cover, rusty chunks fall out. I don't even know if the part that is rotted in there is replaceable! I think it is the same piece behind the licence plate, right?

Ahhh! Don't tell me that! I'll end up driving all the way down there and buying it! I must say that New England sucks. I can;t find a single Camaro up here that isn't rotten; except for the showroom ones that are $4/5000.

Does anyone know where that mysterious rot that falls out of the rear bumper comes from?

The best and only way to find out is by taking off the rear bumper. You just kick your rear bumper and flakes of rust come out? Hmmm.... where does the flakes come from??? Sides or near the rear of it.

Mostly in the middle, but all of the rear has some droppage. I'll probably find out in the spring when I put my 90-92 ground effects on. I'm just wondering how much to repair, as I want it to look good, but I don't want it to fall apart a year after putting $3000+ into the body & paint.
