black stripe on my tail light
I recently got a new tail light since my other had a hole in it and one of my friends noticed to day that the one that origionaly came on the car (89 camaro RS) has a black stripe in the middle while the other doesn't. Can anyone tell me what year the one w/o the stripe came from? It looks kinda funny and I would like to get them to be the same...The one w/o the stripe looks a little better than the one w/ the stripe...I think..what do you guys think?

Which light has the stripe and which one does not? I have the same problem, one with the stripe and one w/o, i kinda like the one with better, but thats my opinion... If we have opposite lights would you want to do some sort of swap, like ill give you the light w/o stripe and you can give me your with stripe light as long as we have opposites of each other... so let me know which ones yours are, okay?

82-85 Base camaros have no stripe
82-85 Z-28's have the stripe
85-92 Irocs and Z-28 have grid style
86-92 base camros and RS's have the black stripe
berlinettas had a gold or silver stripe
(This is just in general)

im feelin saucy now, I really want to get hold of the tail light assembly w/o the stripes...that would really clean up my car....
shaved handles, shaved doorguards, 3 in drop, and im thinking of fabbing the 97 camaro rear where it reads CAMARO in indentation..putting that where my license plate is....perhaps, perhaps not

guys, on my 88 camaro, i decided to paint them transluctent red. one day i fudged up on one real bad, so i got some pain thinner and took of the paint. i had everything all masked off nice and all of a sudden i see this black paint coming off. i was like wtf, thinking i messed up my taillights, but that black stripe is only painted on. satin black makes for sexy lines.
