Oh my ***. Thanks so much! How'd you do that?? BTW, I got my car back today, the ground effects don't look that bad, to me anyway, with it painted. The gfx on the doors would be a PITA cuz there's a piece of metal welded to the door, and that was jsut more than I wanted to to do take the gfx off, so, there they stay. I'll take pics tomorrow. Thanks so much dude!

Looks good.

The gfx isn't welded to the door, there are 5 nuts that hold it on, you have to take the door panel off get to 3 of them, the other 2 are at the far extremes of the door.

In these pics, you can see where the old holes were filled. I changed gfx styles on my car so I had to drill new holes.

I don't think he meant welded to the door, I think he meant the piece under it. There is a metal peice welded, I believe anyways, to the car that holds on the lower gfx.

Hey thanks guys. I've waited ssoo long to get it painted, and it's great to FINALLY drive a gloss black Trans Am! Yeah the GFX were too much of a PITA, so I decided not to mess with them. I think they add more of a muscle car look. We're installing the fog lights tomorrow and the red 'scanner' Saturday, so after we wash Kitt, I'll take a whole lot of pics. If only I knew how to post them. Thanks soo much BTS88IROC.

lol, yeah! I don't really like those bowling ball wheels that much. I was thinking of something more modern or something. Since it IS Kitt w/a twist, i need ideas on how to make it unique. was maybe thinking of some Torque Thrust D's or some Snypers. I'd like a 'dark' colored wheel, i don't think polished or chrome would look good. Anyone have any ideas?

Mmmm.....black crosslace wheels. Yummy. I wanted those for my GTA, but GTA's had gold so I went with gold. Since I wanted my car because it was a GTA I'm gonna keep it a GTA in every exterior respect.

That is actually what I was thinking. I saw a black '91 Formula, I think, with black GTA style rims, and it looked clean!! And, since they were stock, I figured I might be able to score a set for not too much. Anyone wanna sell their black GTA style rims, or anyone with a black thirdgen with those rims? I'm anxious to see some pics. Thanks,
