Suicide Doors

Sitting here with nothing to do, my mind began to wander. Would it be at all possible to put suicide doors on a third gen? I realize that it would be expensive as hell, and time consuming, but I'm not worried about that. I'm just curious if it would be POSSIBLE. Hell some guy put Lamborghini doors on his, so nothing is impossible.

Don't worry, it's not something I want to undertake, just brainstorm.

i'm sorry i know you all like it but personally i don't think that door mod looks good on our cars i mean i guess if you go for that sort of thing it's cool but i don't know it looks kind of funny to me. but all in all my only question is why pink?

http://www.suicidedoors.com/ used to make a universal kit. The guy's mostly into Ford Ranger stuff, but he can probably help you out.

I agree... I don't see the point in doors that open backwards.

i think they look pretty cool, but they're more of a pain than you'd think, people complain about stepping over roll cages, but it's hell having to back yourself into your car all the time and it's awkward getting out too...i can only imagine that it would increase wear and decrease the life of your seats as well, and possibly the coating on the steering wheel, sliding forward and getting out, getting in and scooting back...

Well, I guess that depends on how you qualify what's stupid and what isn't.

If you qualify something as stupid if it does absolutely nothing to enhance the performance of a high performance car, adds weight, is dangerous, and is the most overplayed hotrod cliche since sidepipes, then this would definately qualify.

My only issue would be getting in and out of the car. As it is these doors are very long and make getting in and out difficult in most parking spots, espcecially since most people like to crowd the lines or park at an angle. Out side of that, it looks pretty cool (love suicide doors, i would love to have a black 67 lincoln continental 4 door) and would be fun.
