heres my 86 sport coupe berlinetta (however thats spelt).. got it free from my uncle, its got the 2.8L v6 in it. 100k miles on the car, 39k on the new engine. the 39k are highway miles, he had to commute 20 miles to work everyday... needs paint, thank *** my friends dad will do it for $150 and i gotta buy the paint.. I want to paint it the same color, what color is this car... is this Black Sapphire?

i did a search one time.. and they said black sapphire was dark blue, the only other blue was this light blue.. and i dunno maybe this is light blue.. hey this is why im not in art class

 

Paint code should be in the center console, it should be a wa- ####, then just go about anywhere they sell auto paint and buy it. You should look in on getting some Gfe's [package if you can. Also have him paint the side moldings and stuff, might help the car look alot better. You cant beat a free car, expecially one with TTOPS Interior looks real good too, look into some neew rims too, they look like the same 14 inch one's i got on my 92 S10

that's not black sapphire, mine is black sapphire, it looks black and when the light hits it you see the blue come out

car looks nice, how do u know its a berlinetta? my friend has a berlinetta parts cars, its a 85 and looks like yours but has dig desh and camaro engraved on the dash and some nasty stripes on the lower body? i thnk yours is a SC, but i may be wrong, imo id rather have a SC than a berlinetta

 

yeah it says berlinetta in the car.. but i odnt know, maybe it is just a sport coupe, and my unlce has no clue, hes been storing it, winters.. and summers for the past 3 years.. (heh that means its been collecting dust in his garage for the past 3 years ) Im pretty sure its a berlinetta though.. it said somewhere in the car, in the middle console or something i gotta go dig around and look, ill find out

 

Berlinettas in 86' got the digital dash , funky console/radio and a special berli steering wheel. They also had a belinetta patch on the lower sailpanel, i think you have a sc too. I may be wrong though

its the front license plate holder that says "sport coupe Berlinetta" on it, i took it off because the car looks better with out it. My uncle hit a telephone pole with it, i bet the people at the shop just threw that one on there

 

no,its the correct one, my 85 SC had one that said berlinetta sport coupe, they used that one for both cars, just as my RS had one that said z-28 on it

 

That looks like Bright Blue Metallic code 23U. I agree with the others, you've got a Sport Coupe. Looks like this car has the optional gage package (tach, oil pressure gage, temp gage, volt gage), also it's got fog lamps. On the other hand this car has the "base" interior and manual crank windows. Oddly optioned car.

Needs some work but I see the potential. Reminds me of my '85 Berlinetta.
