ACSD Ram Air 1 hood problems, need help.

ACSD Ram Air 1 hood problems, need help.

i am installing it right now and the hood spring installs on the wrong side, anyone else have this problem?

thats the only way for the spring and latch to fit on hood, anyone else have to leave it like that?

My ascd hood was like that, and at that time I didnt want to drill into my brand new hood, so I drilled 3 holes into the piece of metal that the spring normally touches, and zip-tied the spring to the car. I try to get some pics over the weekend, but it works fine, as the hood's been on for over 3 years now.

i dont want to do that, i mean geez they cant even make a hood these days without modding it. that is am i will simply send this back. its totally on the wrong side.

thanks Steve, i am going to stay with the formula hood.

i am going to make sure i get it sended back with out me losing any money. why on earth would i want a hood with the hood spring located on the wrong side.

yeah its crunch time, still have springs, shocks, struts, strut tower bar, tint, paint somehow (macco cheap job maybe).

I don't even use a spring on my ASCD SS hood on my camaro...I just pop the hood and then pull up, and its never really bothered me...
