I tried putting a set of thirdgen seats in my 81 trans am that I had. Didn't work. Ive seen a 70's T/A with a full drivetrain and interior from a 4th gen.
Im sure like anything else it would take some special fabrication, time, and money.

have put 3rd gen firebird seats in a 57 belair so anyting is possible you might just have to change the seat tracks (in the 57's case fabricate new ones)anything is possible with a welder

I gave my friend my 3rd gen seats and he had them re-covered in black leather with the insert matching the color of his car. Oh ya he has a 68 Camaro, he had to make some custom brackets. But they look great.
