4th gen interior with carb?

I was wondering if the 4th gen interior will run if you go the carb route instead of FI? I've searched looking at the 4th gen posts before but I don't recall seeing anybody with a carb setup but then again I might have gone right by it. If it can, is there anything you have to do extra that makes it even harder to get to work correctly?

Thanks,
Matt

If im reading your post correctly I think it would make absolutly no difference at all. Why would having a carb affect the interior?

uhm my first response, was gonna be "No, the power seats wont adjust rite"

but then I figured that would be mean, my real response is...

...Good question, I really dont know, at first look it sounds like a dumb question, why would the interior matter against the engine, but will the gauges still work rite. Will you need to swap in a computer to run/interpret the gauges.

Tac should work
speedo, you will need to get a electric speed sensor, I think
As for the other stuff I'm not sure how it works on a 4th gen, if its sensor direct, or if its driven off the computer.

sorry i guess i worded it wrong, what I meant was the guage cluster. Would it still work even though there isn't fuel injection. But from what was said I assume that it will.

You should be fine. Like the other guys said, an 8 cyl tach signal is an 8 cyl tach signal, whether or not your EFI. You will need a electronic VSS, and if I remember right the only one that will give you the right PPM is the dakota digital unit.

Take care,
Matt

You can make it work. Forget about using guage clusters from EFI cars. Make yourself a backing plate and run some aftermarket guages like Autometer or something. Basically make your own cluster. This way you wont have to convert anything, and it will still look nice (paint or polish the plate to match the guages). Getting other functions of the 4th gen dash (airbags? HVAC? Lights?) is a different story. I'm not sure.
