check the firewall were the wiring harness, steering coulmn ect is coming through. try spraying water on hte firewall and look for the leak then. also try pulling the black padding up and look ofr water track on the foam.

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
If you don't have A/C, then it may be leaking in from the vent just above your feet; make sure the drain areas on the sides of the cowl aren't plugged with leaves, etc.

if your car doesnt have AC then it could be comming from the vent on the drivers side...my car has that problem its a bitch to get at even when u take the whole dash apart, i just gotta go take the time to fix it one of these days.

Mine was leaking around/through the grommet that surrounds the wiring harness that passes through the cowl.

Especially since you know you used to have a leak - this is a worthwhile way to spend some time .... pull up the carpet and look for holes in the floorboard. If you see any rust then now is the time to get it under control. If you wait you will regret your laziness. You may have a (or many) hole.

see behind the front wheel on my car where it is cut away... that may be your problem... mine was rusted out there and a good way down the rocker... funny thing is on my passenger side the area rusted could be filled in with a mig alone
