Gas tank size
Anyone know what the gas tank size is on an 89 RS convertible? I bought the car without a users manual. This is my first third gen. I picked it up as a daily driver to hold me over for the next few years until the new Gen. 5 hits the streets. I'm rebuilding a matching #s 71 rs/ss 350 and have owned a 72 plain jane and 70 SS396. I still can't figure out why I try to drive anything but a camaro. I always come back. I have been getitng interested in a second gen firebird though. Anyway, have a good one my firends!

Thanks
Thanks for the info my friend. And I feel welcome here. I've already read a load of information. I love the 89. It's nice to have a drop again as well. I just wish there was something I could do to 305 TBI to get more power out of it without spending a bucket of cash. I gotta save my cash for the 71. Have a good one my friend!

my 87 was quoted as having a 15.5 gallon tank, but I could never get more than about 13 in it... I even ... uh... drained it dry... once... ONCE!

I managed to get about 13 gallons in my car once and only once
usually at the same level the fuel gauge read, I'd only get in about 10 to 11 gallons. The gauge read higher with the 13 gallon fill up
Think the trick might have been the slope the car was on, passenger side lower than driver side but not by much.
