i thought only the RS came with the 110 (115?) speedos, and the IROC in 86(?)-90 and Z28s 86-87(?) 91-92 came with 145

No, I've got an 87 305 tpi with a 145 mph speedo in it.
I have heard that 88 and later non-g92 cars got the 110 mph, except for the 350 cars which all got the 145 speedo.

so wait whos right and whos wrong... does anyone know exactly what each car was supposed to come with?
I have a 90 RS with a 145MPH speedo... of course, I did get it from Ebay, but it is still there. I am pretty sure only the 350's and most IROCs got the 145MPH speedo. Anyway, it is still a pricey item anywhere you look. expect to pay no less than $200 for one in any condition.

i always thought that all the cars with the speed rated tires got the 145s, i would assume the B4C cars got them, which are RS cars. i am sure the 1LE cars got them also, alot of them are 305's. the way i figure the cars that were not speed limited at 112mph got the 145 speedos, the rest got 110 since they were limited there, they didnt' need more.

This really is a question for Willie over on the History board, I have no doubt he could answer it correctly for you.
I got mine from IROCZDAVE for $90. Here's his site:
