Ever hear of the Ram Air 4??
I saw this on ebay. At first I thought it looked kinda gay...but it actually looks kinda sweet to me. Anyone know of this hood? I'm e-mailin' the guy now for some more info.

I like, but its just a RAII with the openings further back... I definately think it looks much better than the RAII hoods...

Is it just me or do the two ram air intakes look like they are not completely identical in shape, opening, and size? The front and th rear just lok odd? Just my opinion, does anyone else see it?

Yeah, that guy has been peddling them on ebay for awhile now. There made out of hand laid fiberglass (at least that's what he says). I think he pretty much takes a stock flat hood design and puts a rip off ram air design on it and resales to people on ebay.

It is the stock Trans Am/GTA hood with scoops. The rear air deflectors or whatever that are on the rear sides of the hood are still present. It is probably crap quality.

The RAII hood would look MUCH better if the scoops were lower and more streamlined like that hood. With them that far back it just looks like crap IMHO though.

regardless of whether you like this hood or not....do not buy it.
I bought a reproduction aero-wing from them back in about march of this year. My car got totalled and long story short the wing was being put on about 2 weeks ago. My bodyshop guy called me to tell me that the gelcoat they put on was "crumbling off" - to the extent that he didn't want to paint it. I said no problem and called Showcars-Bodyparts. Not only did they refuse to acknowledge that there was a problem with the wing, they told me to lightly tap the wing for "air bubbles" in the fiberglass. So basically it was a piece of crap and they knew it.
If you can buy the same hood from somewhere else (different manufacturer) - do so. If not....stear clear of that thing.
