I had a professional cleaner do mine in the car. I removed the seats beforehand. Worked great--so much so that I decided against new carpet. Highly recommended.

Here they get $90 to clean the inside of your car, and if there is somthing that they cannot get out nothing is going to get it out. My father had his minivan done, and it looked great after they got through with it. There was one marker stain or somthing they couldn't get out though. This van was really bad, tons of kids in it all the time making a mess. Why not leave the seats in though, so they get cleaned too? Noone is going to see under your seats
Another $100 to detail the car. And these people are really good, they go to work with a Q-tip in tight places. Its the best your car will ever look without being compeltely repained. I plan on having both the interior and exterior done this summer. Oh, and for another $30 they will come do it in your driveway.

90-120 dollars is about the price of new carpet though....It would be a tough decision but you would have to base it on the quality of the carpet and the rest of the interior
and don't clean your interior before you do any bodywork or you'll regret it

My seats were out for new upholstery, but because I'm a bit **** about such things, I would have removed them anyway. I live in a small town--twenty bucks to do mine.

True, but $90 gets the entire inside of your car done, not just the carpet. Someone at some point put heavy duty rubber mats in my car, so the carpet doesn't really have any wear at all, its just stained. So a good cleaning should bring it back to just about new. Although, now that I think about it, maybie I should get a new carpet, I want black
Stupid grey
But if I didn't want a black carpet $90 to bring my carpet back to almost new condition, clean the entire inside of the car very well, and me not have to do any work at all is worth it to me.

this summer I took the carpet out of my blazer (and every other peice of the interior) and hosed it down real good and used one of those rental shampoo machines on it, set it on the picnic table to dry real good for a day or two, and bought new underpadding for it and while it was out sprayed the floorpans with truck bed coating from walmart. came out real nice and it was an budweiser company truck it saw lots of abuse in it's life. looks almost like new again and smells better plus the reduced noise levels with the bed liner spray stuff in there is always a plus

Go to the food store and rent a carpet cleaner, pull it out, clean up under the carpet, spary down some bed-liner and replace the stuff under the carpet if you want. Probably your best bet if you don't want to buy a new one or have somone else do it.
