Will the auto meter coolant temp gauge work correct of I hook it up to the stock wires in the dash? Whats up with the fuel level gauge? I hope I dont need to buy something that goes in the tank.

No. I tried this when I installed my temp gauge. I used the autometer unit and when I hooked up the stock gauge wire, it went haywire. If you can somehow get it to work though, definatly tell how you did it.

If you buy the electric gauges, they come with their own sending units. Both my H2O temp, and oil press. came with senders.

Stick with the electric guages and you should be fine. Like mentioned above, they come with new sending units which sould be replaced anyway. The fuel level should work with your stock one. I believe it says that in their description of the guage. good luck

The Autometer Pro Comp Electric Oil Pressure gauge works with the stock sender. I tried it out since I bought the gauge used without a sender.
Also, the Autometer and GM oil pressure senders look identical, big round bell looking thing.
Autometer Fuel Level uses the stock sender. We have it on my friends 82 T/A.
Here's a pic of when I was wiring up all the gauges,

He had a large budget to work with.
We used Karps T/A as a template as well as a couple of other members cars that are on this site.
