Anyone with Firebird Radio pod removed step inside
I need a pic of a Firebird radio pod that has been removed from the car, that is in good shape, and has a piece of paper held behind the front bracketry. I am trying to repair mine while it is out of the car and I need to know where excatly the radio mounts are located. Also, if someone has a ruler handy, it would be great to have a pic of how high from the bottom the mount holes are located for the radio. Thanks in advance.

Zepher I am glad you took those pics. I was going to take pics of mine and put up but my pod is shot. I figured if noone posted pics mine would be better than none.

I should have kept it since all the mounting tabs in the one on my formula are broken. The heater control wires and radio wires is keeping it in place.

I just need to repair the radio tabs. It looks like someone installed a decent stereo and had it stolen. The tabs are all broke up and the wires inside were all cut up and taped together.
I have a new stereo, but I have nothing to mount it to because of whatever happened to this pod.
I was thinking of using some sort of epoxy to fill in the large gap and reinforce the tabs with sheet aluminum I just happen to have, but I still need to know the height from the bottom for the screw holes.

Does this mean that nobody on these boards has a good Firebird radio pod that they can take a measurement of how high up from the bottom the radio mounting holes are? Geez....
