Squeaks and bulbs

First off, I have this very annoying squeak that’s coming from the driver side of the dash pad. It looks like it might be the dashpad vibrating against the A pillar. Any one have any ideas?

Second, while I had the dash apart to try to fix the aforementioned squeak, I noticed this tiny tiny light bulb under the dash, around the A/C outlet area, and a small clear plastic patch that would allow the light from the bulb to pass through into the center console area. I've searched the forums and people say it's an airbag light, but my Camaro is an 89, they didn't start putting airbags in until 90. What is it? Is it just another entry light with a burned out bulb? And if it isn't, could it be wired to something else (Alarm, shift indicator, etc. etc.)?

The light bulb is there to provide light to the ashtray, pretty weak if ya ask me though.

Cool, I'm going to grab a new bulb then. I've got another question though. The bulb in the A/C control panel was out when I bought the car, so I finally (after about a year of having it ) replaced it. There only seemed one bulb on the right hand side of it. The right side of the panel lights up very well, but as it goes to the left, especially where the fan speed **** is, it is barely noticeable. Is there a second bulb I have missed or is it supposed to be like that?

There is only one bulb, sucks doesn't. I wonder if there is is anyone out there who has done an LED light conversion for the HVAC, like some have done for the gauges or if anyone has done anything custom in the HVAC??
