Loose fabric on GTA door panels?

The fabric portion of the door panel on my 89 TTA is very loose at times. Sometimes the fabric is tight. It seems like humidity and temperature effect this. Is there any way to tighten this fabric up? It looks like the fabric is welded into the plastic of the door panel. I was thinking of getting another set of door panels and having that area redone in leather. Any help? Any one have an extra set of 89 GTA Beechwood?/tan panels they are looking to sell?

Thank You

Gus

I know this won't be much help to your current problem - but I've had my panels successfully color changed (from red) and redone in leather. This should have been an option from the factory if you ask me.

3.1,

That is what I'm talking about Who did it and what did it cost? Do you have any pictures of the process of building the panels? I'll probably just buy another set, paint them to match my interior and have leather inserts built. I really like the look of perforated leather, like the seats have. I'll try to use some of that to give the panel some texture.

How did you get the pocket back on, 3.1EyeCandy? I need to have my panels redone (or purchase new ones), but I don't want to loose my pockets.

I have a set of GTA panels that need redone also. I wonder why nobody makes reproductions of them? 3.1 if you ever want to sell yours contact me. That is exactly what I was wanting to do to mine.

cost was about 300 at a local apholstory shop. Find a good one in your area and tell them to remake the fabric area in leather. They can probably redie your vinyl section back to beachwood too. Well worth it if you ask me.

and no....I will never sell these Sonar_un has first dibs on them if I do.
