Why do you want to put new GFX on? You just listed the car for sale............................

replace rear bumper, rear 1/4 gfx, rocker panel gfx, door gfx, front bumper and front chin spoiler. rear bumper bolts right on, rear 1/4, rocker, and door gfx will need new holes drilled, front bumper bolts right on, front chin spoiler bolts right onto the front bumper, but needs new holes in fenders. if you go to thirdgen resource or hawks, it will cost you around $650 for everything. shop around and you can find cheaper. i got everything for my lt for like $250-300.

Did the same thing w/my 84.Swapped everything from an 89 iroc.Except my the front bumper.I like the look of my 84 fr bumper better. So what i did was cut off my 84 fr spoiler just where it meets up with the fender line.then cut the 89 spoiler the same way.I used the 84 spoiler on the bumper part & the 89 spoiler(L&R)side from the fender line to wheel end.I had to split the 84 & widen it where i cut it off, insert a steel plate to hold the gap open, rivet the plate to the 84 poiler, this way the taper would match the width of the 89.The just fill in the gap with flexible bumper repair compound.I only did all this, because (1) the 84 spoiler attaches differently the bumper than the 85 up style does & (2)I wanted my car to still look like an 84 Z28

@84 1LE; Wow! That sounds like quite a feat! Do you have any pictures of your car? I'd be real interested to see how it turned out!

@jocww; As far as difficulty, I don't think it's too challenging, just some precise measurements and a few holes to be made; it's a very popular procedure, so there's a lot of experience on the board that could help in a jam

Heres another shot. The front part is the 84 spoiler. You can just see the vents on the front of it.You can also see the parting line where the poiler was cut off & the fender section of the 89 spoiler.

Heres a shot of the back(inside) of spoiler where the 2 types(years) meet.it also shows the steel plates that are riveted on,taken from under the radiator toward the driver side. You can also see a small peice of fiberglass cloth between the plates that i used w/the flexable bumper repair...

Heres the same side at an angle. There are 2 plates. The one w/the arrow is the one that lines up & overlaps the 2 sections.Theres also a small screw on the underside of the spoiler ends where the 2 sections meet,it keeps the ends from flaring out,the plate is shaped/angled to follow the contours of the spoilers. It also keeps the 89 section from moving in too far,so the 2 section are flush on the outer side. The other plate is the one that keeps the 84 section tapered/spread out correctly to follow the taper of the 89 section. This is beacuse the 89 spoiler is closer to the ground that the 84(by at least 1.5in).So the 2 sections would never line up correctly at the bottom or for that matter the top. Also the rivets can be seen from this side.On the outer side they are covered w/ the bumper repair. The rest of the conversion is basically a simple swap.
