changing interior color. pics of before and after
Guys and Gals, I need some motivation.
My interior as of right now is the disgusting red. I am slowly going to black.
I now have the black/dk gray '96 SS leather seats and an '01 TA Console.
I am going to redo carpet, door panels, seat belts and all plastic parts in the car to black.
Is the process hard, or just time consuming? I am going to line my interior with dynamat or the like to reduce road noise and then lay down the carpet... Anyone else do it? Tips/Tricks?
I've seen a few pics of people redoing their carpet. Anyone else got some new pics? Anyone have a BEFORE and AFTER when going from one color to another?
I need the motivation!

Before on my 82 [IMG]

And in-progress pictures. I'm taking an upholstery class and am doing the whole interior (seats, carpet, door panels, etc) on the '82 from scratch. Going to switch colors from tan to black in that car too.

I too have the red interior... dark carmine I think it's called. My door panels, arm rests, seats, carpets, headliner, sail panels, and all the plastic is red!
I changed the arm rests to black, and I'm working in some more black. I kinda like the red too, so I'm doing a 1/2 1/2 !

Before:

After:

All I have to finish is the kick panel speaker setup I want to make and the interior is done. Since the pic, I've cut down the B&M shifter since it was way to tall (non F-body specific Megashifter). Just don't use the Duplicolor interior spray on the plastic or carpet since it doesn't stick worth a darn. The best stuff I've used is interior spray dye by Marhyde brand.
