Liscense Plate light out + Cop = Funny Story

I was driving through town the other night and I see a cop pull up behind me, so here I am trying to poke through my 20 mile an hour streets in second gear with my car begging to go. Well of course he has to find a reason to pull me over so he approaches me to tell me that my liscense plate light is out. Then the funniest thing is he was like, nice car boy you wanting to sell it? I was to busy laughing to even talk to this guy, I was like basicaly you just pulled me over to try to buy my car, what great cops we have here. So now I guess I need a "liscense plate light" for my formula I remember when I put it back on my bumper after the painting it looked sorta rough but I never really looked at it do they have replacable bulbs or do you have to buy the whole new assembly???

Hehe, good story.

I think I drove my car for about five years before I realized my rear plate bulb had burned out. I replaced it a few months ago. Just a simple replacement bulb.

I almost got pulled over when driving my car to the exhaust shop (open long tube header) back when I first got the new motor running. The cop stayed next to my then behind me and back and forth till we got to the light. He pulled beside my and said rev it up. So I did and it scared the crap out of him. He grinned and said for me to get some mufflers on that thing quick and went about his business. Could have got a fat ticket, but he like the car I guess.

Anywho, the bulb you need is cheap. It's under 2 bucks at Vato-zone.

Right after I bought my 89 Iroc-Z and didn't have tags yet, I had just pulled out of my driveway to take it for a test spin and to clean the carbon out and got pulled by the cops. When he walked up to the car, I handed him the bill of sale and insurance card. He says, "Oh, you know why I stopped you" and I replied, "Yes, you thought I stole it". He replied, yeah! alot of these get stolen around here, have a nice day, BTW! nice car. I went back to the house and didn't drive it again until I had tags on it.
