Do i need the floor drain/plug things?

In the rear seats, the little plug type thing in the floor that is supposed to be there fell apart because it was real weak around the edges of it. Can i just seal this up with bondo or something? What's the point of these things? It's not like a jeep where you can hose out the interior, so i don't see the point of these. i noticed there's one in the bottom of the rear hatch too. thanks for any help/advice

They were used to drain the car after it was dipped at the factory. The cover plates were installed over the drain holes and then sealed prior to installing the carpet. You will find two more in the front compartment at the low points on the drivers and passengers side. Yes, you can just put another plate in there and seal it up.

Where is the front drain plug? I have a few rust holes, so I'm not sure if it may have been there.
