time for carpet and weatherstripping!

Need to replace my carpet, but at the same time I want to fix my ttop seals so I don't mess up the new carpet. Where's the best place to get all new seals? good quality at decent price. I need the hatch seal and the ttops.

Whats the difference between all the many kits on there?

I could be VERY interested in a T-Top kit, something to reseal my doors and the rear hatch goodies.

Does anyone know specifically which parts are included in the TTop kit? I saw the pic, but its VERY small and hard to see whats included.

Seems a little steep seeing as how it doesn't include the door seals or hatch seal. Best place I've seen so far is 1A auto. For $330 you get the ttop seals, hatch, door seals, and the ttop to window seal. Not one package though, have to buy them seperate.

STOP

do a search on t top seals, there is a post on here where to get GM ORIGINAL which is the only way to go forget the aftermarket you will never be happy with the fit.

so anyway the post had a sorce for the kit gm orig that was at a great price. it was from a restoration web site of classic cars site.

most gm seals cost 150- this kit was much cheaper and included the t top seal and the roof seal and the drip rails.

as for carpet get any after market set and most will be just fine. i got mine from year one.

Stick with GM only for the T-top weatherstripping. I had a friend order some weatherstripping off E-Bay (maybe 1A Auto?) and they were not cut or formed properly. We compared them to my GM set, which I bought a couple months earlier, and the quality difference was quite evident. He siliconed his like crazy, and it still leaks. My car doesn't.

I got my kit from www.gmpartsdirect.com You must manually enter the part number for the kit: 10164133 , as you can't look it up through the catalog.

Here is what you get with the GM kit:

That's everything. The outer lip guards are hard plastic, unlike the soft rubber earlier style pieces. And they are specially designed with drains to eliminate the earlier problems.

Cool. So thats the ttop seals to body, the windo to ttop, and the outer sweeps right? Then I just need to get the hatch seal and door seals to complete the kit. you have GM numbers for them?

Door weatherstrip numbers I don't know. The few aftermarket door and trunk weatherstrips I have seen look like quality pieces.

However, GM issued a TSB for a rear compartment water leak. They offered a redesigned hatch weatherstrip, p/n 10191818 that has a special lip seal to help deter water intrusion. It works on my car I got mine several years ago from JBA Chevrolet. I don't know if it's still available. The TSB is from 91, and I'm sure the number has been updated.
