i found a replacement for mine and i now relize why the guy trew tho other one away cause it seems something was arcing inside the dash when the lighter was in the dash (not pushed in to on) just in the hole like...it would blow my fuse for my lighter, dome light and the rest of the lights in the car. So like the old owner i just cut the metal part off and stuck it in the dash to cover the hole. I dont smoke anyhow and noone is alowed to in my z anyhow so frankly having a working cig lighter is about as useless as t1ts on a bull.

When I had my '92 RS, my lighter didn't work. I don't smoke, but I did need an outlet for the radar detector. I eventually went down to the local Checkers and selected a replacement lighter and outlet combo and installed that. Installed in a few minutes, and attached to the factory wiring just fine.

That'd be my suggestion.

Classic industries sells the lighters for $22. They're on page 117 of their camaro catalog.
