New hood vs Front end clip.. let the battle begin!
ok, so my new jongbloed hood fits all wel land good except for it seems to be about a half inch "short" in the front to back area. There is a small gap between the nose of the hood and the front clip. Is there any way to pull the nose clip back or something to make it fit better?

From the looks of the hood against the Rh headlight opening it looks like the hood needs to go forward.
Yeah thats what i was tyring to get at. I was thinking if there was a way to bump the clp back so that the hole on the underside of the hood would still line up. But it seems that i will have to move the hood forward. May be time to bust out the dremel. Ya know i didnt even look at the back side of the hood. Prolly shoudl hav. Im up at college right now, but im going home this weekend. ILL et yu guys know then.

better to have the front fit, then the back, teh back has a swoop in it so even if it is a little off, it wont matter. First line up the hood with the headlight buckets, make sure it nice and square on both sides and where you want it. Then see if you need to move the nose back soem or up, just dont dremel the headlight buckets

yeah but mine is comin up short...
what I ment to say is to move the hood forward until it matches up with the corners on the front. If when you move it forward, there is interference where the middle of the hood meets the front end then you might be able to trim it to fit.

here's a tip about adjusting it forward that i read somewhere else on the boards. if you can't move the hood up any more on the hinges, loosen the hinges from the fenders and slide them forward as far as they can go and retighten them. there might be enough play to get the front of your hood to line up correctly. hope it works

Figured anything out yet on this hood? I am considering getting this hood, but not if there is a half inch gap that cant be fixed.

Actually i havent been back home ( im off at college ) to work on it. Ill update you guys next weekend. It will be on the car , all strightned out, and painted.
i move the hinges up on the fender and that really helped a lot. I can see that the gap will be much smaller. If i have to i will kist weld a little more steel onto the hinge bracket that attaches to the hood so that i can dremel out the extra length. In all reality it wont be too hard.
