How to fix door shut rattle???

I am wondering why new cars today, when you shut them they make a nice noise; shows its new. But when you shut ours it makes that "special" noise.

I want to get rid of this noise. I want to make it sound like a brand new car again. How would i go about doing this?

Thanks,
Shane

I suggest going and buying a 02 trans am, thats probably the only way your car will sound brand new again.

The cheap, p.o.s doorhandle is the biggest niose factor. There is a clip/spring that keeps them from rattling.
The cast pot metal retainer (on the underside of the handle) breaks, the spring becomes loose and thus, keeps the handle from being taught and rattling. Replacing the handle is the only solution. The other factor is the internals to the door becoming loos and flopping around. On my 'bird, the adhesive that bonded the skin to the impact brace failed causing noise. Rebonding it with chassis seam sealer fixed that. The handles are no longer a problem for me....
