They look good from the pic, but I'd like to know the fit and finish of them before shelling out $578 for a pair of them. I may just rob some from a 2nd gen TA and integrate them into my steel fenders, but it would be cool to have fibergass ones.
They look better IMO than the 2nd gen Z "gills".

Just get an old fender or 2 (beat up nasty ones are ok) for a 3rd gen and take the vents off of a second gen. Practice cutting the holes for the vents in the beat up fenders then do it to your fenders, it will be at least $800 cheaper to do this.

Look for a member named flyinlow92rs. He added 2nd gen vents into his fenders. It doesnt look exactly the same as those aftermarket ones, but you get the idea.

I've seen flyin's and the other members, both used "gills" from a late 2nd gen Z-28. I personally don't care for those type of "gills". I always liked the look of the TA's though. I'm thinking that if I could get a visual of these particular fenders and photoshop an ss hood or reverse cowl, it would tell me whether or not I wanted to do this to my car. I don't want to fork out that much money for them and then not like them and be stuck with them.
I also was thinking that the actual 2nd gen TA ones were larger. One reason why I wanted to see these first on a camaro.
Maybe someone can photoshop them on a 3rd gen for me.

WOW! A 9" cowl on that site. Other uses include camping. Just bring a sleeping bag and you could sleep under it.

those fender louvers are from like a 78-79 T/A. I installed my 1980-1981 Z28 fender louvers in my car...they came out really good...here is a picture...

Do yours just surface mount, or did you have to patch in a section of the 2nd gen fender into yours so that it would mount up?

I believe a small portion of metal was removed for the back side of the vent to stick through and bolted into place (therefore no, the original fenders were simply modified)

Did anyone notice the fiberglass version of the stock hood? I have been hoping we could find such a thing for ours cars. I really don't like many of the aftermarket hoods that are out there for our cars but hate the weight of the stocker.
