Replacing weatherstriping..
Anyone have a nice, detailed (with pics would be cool) process for replacing the weatherstriping on our cars? The striping along the doors and the T Tops need replacing.
Any help would be nice.
Thanks in advance.

i'd also be very interested in this as i would very muchlyu like todo this myself. The thing is it sorta depends on which weatherstripping you get. Soff Seal ones are the best perior and have a different install method. OEM weatherstripping is a bit laos different.

It's really not hard to just replace the weather stripping, you just pry the old stuff out with your hands and a screw driving being carefull not to rip it and leave any peices in, if you do just dig em out. there is a screw holding in the weatherstripping at the two corners of the t-top by the doors, and little plastic tabs at each end to hold the ends in place.
Most importantly put the stripping in without adhesive first, and see how it will fit. (you may need to tug it around) then use either 3m adhesive or the permatex weatherstripping adhesive, i found em at wal marts and k-marts. Follow the directions on the adhesive and you should be ok. After you put the new stuff in it may still leak a bit, but you can fix that by putting more sealant where it's leaking.
my weatherstripping was a nightmare because the whole t-top bar was rusted out. i had to repair tons of rust.
