Lol I just swapped a steering column tonight.
There are 2 13MM nuts holding the column to the dash. Its actually a bracket with 2 studs on it welded to the firewall, its not part of the dash. They go up from underneat the column. Then, there are 3 10MM bolts which hold the column to the firewall. You will have to pull down the carpet and insulation a little to see these. There is one bolt which holds the column shaft to the steering box shaft in the engine bay. Look right behind the 'ragjoint' on the steering box shaft, and you will see it. This is easiest if you turn the steering wheel so that the bolt is horizontal. I'm pretty sure I used a 3/4" wrench on this, but I can't remember for sure. You will only need one wrench, the bolt has a square part under the head like a carriage bolt to keep it from turning. You will also need to unplug all the wires from the column. There is a big plug on the right side of it for the ignition, and a couple small ones on the left side. There's also a vacuum line to it, which goes to the cruise control off switch by the brake pedal. The ignition plug is kind of a pain to get off, but this might help. Its actually 2 plugs, take the black one off first. Theres a little clip think yo uhave to push in, and it should just slide off. Then, take the blue connector off. It has 2 more of the little clip things to push in. Tonight makes the 2nd time I have swapped steering columns in a thirdgen, I should be getting good at it by now :P
