BEST Gauges Yet!!!
well of course i think so im my opinion. how do you all like my new silver gauges. indiglo and only the numbers light up!!! i think they look like better quality and not so out of place than any others.
what you all think?
EDIT: i also had painted my plastic bezel a glossy black, the circle parts on the needles a gloss black and my needles red!!!
These will be going into a pearl white 1991 z. i thought they would look best.

Nice!! Im still hoping they will make them in kph and for 1991 Z28s. Apparently in 1991 there was a possiblity of 1 of 3 instrument clusters.

yea i think any white or silver gauges give our cars a much more contemporary look. still hoping for pics of everyones gauges!! night and day!!!
EDIT: as far as the correct gauge overlays i dont know if these will be an EXACT fit. there were like 3 different gauges you could get if you had a 1991 and these gauges arent specific.......just 1991. so my gauges may be off a little bit but i think its worth it!

And here they are at night. I can change them green too if I want. I had to turn the brightness down a whole crapload so you guys could somewhat see it. My camera sucks and keeps brightening things more than they need. Well anyways, here are my indiglows.

damn those look pretty nice. youre right they dont look cheap like most of the others ive seen. i think some red painted needles would suite those pretty nicely!!!
hey they are in but i need to know what wires to splice into!!!!! im gonna try for my headlights but i dont know which is positive and which is negative for my headlights.....does anyone have a clue?

Those gauges look similar to the ones that I have for my 89 firebird and I love how they look at night.
As for where to hook up the lights to here is where I got mine hooked up to.

I am not sure if this helps at all but this is where mine are hooked in through. Not sure if it went to the light switch or not but it does get power when I turn the parking lights on so the gauges turn on when the parking lights are on.
Here is what mine look like when turned on.

You can check out my site to see how I installed them if you need any help. http://www.cardomain.com/id/kitt350

well i guess i might have to check out haynes then!!!
anyway....i ran into a problem today that haulted my install temporarily, i get them in (but not hooked up) and the needles wont move!! i dont know exactly why but i think its because i put another piece of thin plastic behind them to keep the old yellow light out. so im gonna trim that tomorrow and hopefully they will work correctly! btw those gauges you got look killer at night! :hail:

Anyone got pics of them lit up green? Everyone keeps saying you can change them to green and if I buy guages... there gonna be green, I'm just deciding if I want to spend the extra money for Macewens, the only thing I dislike about these is that you can see the warnings on the tach.

yea they are actually silver faced but as far as the green pics it looks exactly the same as the blue when taken from my digital camera. the blue just looks best IMO.

nice...i like those. the macewens are nice too. did any of you guys have problems with the needles hitting the overlays and not moving? or maybe the power cords to make the gauges light up get in the way and prevent the cluster from making full contact? the reason i ask is because my needles (some not all) wont move now after i installed my overlays.

Gambit69,
are those stockers or leds or what? i like em a lot. i have no idea if they are stock because the only TA i had was a GTA and it had the amber dash lights.
the pic above, is that a caviler or a beretta steering wheel?

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but how did you go about painting the needles? What paint did you use and how hard is it to take off the needles, etc. Thanks.

when i painted my needled i didnt remove them for fear of breaking them or them not going back on properly. i just took some testors red model paint and carefully painted them with a small modeling brush. i put paper under them between the gauges just in case.
