A saber/jig saw will work just fine. Use around a 22tpi blade since the metal is such a light gauge and let the blade do the cutting, don't force it.

See I have a jig saw but I wasnt thinking it would cut through my hood, that thing is pretty thick. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

I'd just use a die grinder. I used that to install my fender louvers....it cut through the fenders with no problem. It also didn't distort the metal around it either...

how many RPMs does your die grinder operate at? I was thinkin about doing it that way, but I want to do it as easy and clean as possible and it would probably take a while longer with a die grinder because the hole is going to be pretty big.
Oh and i will defenetly post pics once I get it in. I just need to get everything together and get it done. I also havent got the car running yet because I need to buy the rest of the fuel system so I wont be cutting anything until I get that taken car of. Thanks for your input guys.

Just a thought here, but would a regular RS hood not be a better starting point?? That way the blisters/louvers, would not be an issue. I am just throughing out an idea. Ohh, and a jig saw may work, but I would prob. use a die grinder myself.

I'm not sure how many RPMS it runs at. If you decide to use a die grinder....it will take a bit longer...but you will get great results with it. Like I said...it won't distort the metal like a Jig Saw could possibly do. It would be better to take it awhile longer to cut it out...and turn out nice...rather than to cut it out faster....and have something bad happen.....just watchin a brotha's back..haha, good luck man, definently post pictures when you start this project!
