Here is a picture of the spots on my carpet....in these spots...it almost has a brownish, gross, dirty, tint to it...but they are 100% clean. Would the "duplicolor" grey dye get rid of this? Does it tiger stripe or anything while applying it? My carpet is in fantastic shape besides the drivers side....any help or info would be great. Thanks

Dunno on duplicolor but I used some SEM flexible coating in red for my carmine carpet looked great.

SEM coating? Where do you get this? I have the same carpet and could use some tint here and there.

boy dont you dare do that! with all the money you have in your car dont u think its another good investment to put in new carpet? look up carpet from paddock they will have it the cheapest. i went the cheap-o route and got 2 packs of carpet from walmart in the autosection and i get compliments on how good it turned out. its nothing u want to get into tho. just fork out the 200 for the new carpet from paddock and then go wow i am glad i did that.

i used a dye on my carpet last year in the same spot pretty much...it looked good for about a month then the stain started to show again. i might try to use the duplicolor dye this summer since i am just trying to put buying new carpet on hold until the cage is put in.

it will make the carpet look better, but i dont think it will be a permanant fix

thanks for the info guys.

Kevin- I would replace the carpet...but like I said man....my carpet is in fantastic shape...except for those couple spots. As long as I Can math it up with the rest if the carpet..I'll be in good shape. I went ahead and bought some of the Duplicolor medium grey dye...I'll try it out and post pictures whenever I get around to doing it.
