ok the question is will a regular third gen camaro center console fit in my 84 berlinetta??

I would have to say Yes, All 3rd gen's from 82-92 had the same thing.

my console is not the same as other 3rd gens. berlinettas do not have cut-outs for a radio and climate controls

No, a regular thirdgen console will not bolt directly into your Berlie. The regular dash is "notched out" where the radio/HVAC portion of the console meets up with it.
You may be able to trim the radio/HVAC portion of a standard console to match up with your Berlie dash.

Yeah, it will bolt up, just like any other 3rd gen. You'll still have to fab something up for the radio tho. My 4thgen console came with a cassette holder; you could probably fab something up using a cassette holder.
