THe Iroc is totalled
At guy hit me from the rear when I was stopped at at light. He hit me a 50 mph, never even hit the brakes. He was towing a trailer with a tractor in it.
What should I pull off the car before the claims adjuster sees it?

If you suspect the frame is bent and your mods are not fully insured or you dont have receipts for the mods I would pull everything including the entire drivetrain and engine if possible. If your mods are insured, then leave it and make a claim. Try to buy the totalled car back for cheap, and then strip it at that time.

I dont have time to strip the drive train. If I did, damn..I would have sweet street rod in the planning. But, I might try and buy the engine and tranny back.
Im taking out my stereo in the morning..seeing how I dotn have school for the rest of the week.

I agree with these guys. Usually the insurance companys will offer you the car back for a small price. It sounds like you will do very well financially to part it out.

the headers rusted though, so its back to stock manafolds. Well, I guess if I buy it back..I'll be selling a L98+t-5 with 87k on them. Or..like I said, a street rod project. But, Ill most likely sell them.

daym man , i know i cant say im never going to get into an accident because you can get hit even as you come out of your driveway...but if i do hopefully they wont be big ones, at least not in my bird, hope you feel better, i know how it feels to hit something doing 50, i hit a light pole doing close to 50, totaled my honda accord.. but then again it was a honda ,,, and good thing there was a concrete slab under it because i could of knocked that sucker over and done more damage to myself

Junk it the way it is. None of the parts will fit on the new Corvette you're going to buy after the lawsuit anyway.
Get a good lawyer and take the guy for all he's worth.
