Ghastly wooden dash

I finally took pictures of the dreadful fake wood in my 1984 Z28. The wood in my 73 is so much nicer. Has anyone ever seen wood like this in an 84 before? Also, in the picture of the speedo is a little *** with Holley writen on it. Presumably this was a manual choke adjuster for a holley carb, but what would have been there origionally?

The stuff on the dash is in good condition, as is the stuff around the air con controls/radiator. The layer on the console is broken and peeling so I think I'll trash that. It would look o.k I think, if it were a little darker, but it looks like cheap pirana pine to me.

I dont mind it... but it does need to be darker for sure. Looks better than the carbon fiber stickers people put in their cars. *shrug*

Stick on fake wood, someone did that themselves. Where the "holley" **** is sitting is where the driving lights switch went.

Could be worse.. at least it melds fairly well with the interior/exterior color.

They could have at least picked a better wood grain. This one should definitely get thrown out.

Fog light switch goes in that Holley choke spot, if they came on the car.
