6 - This is what I'm getting started on now, its all surface besides the sides(obviously). Gonna patch panel it.

I ripped out everything in mine as well. almost no rust except near the sparewheel spot. looking good though.

Thats nothing. I finally got to tearing up the old carpet in the firebird to put in the black interior. I got so may holes and cracks in it I couldnt believe it. I did fix the hump that some previous owners made on the driverside floorpan when they tried to jack it up there by jumping up and down on it a few times

I went through the EXACT same rust damage on a 91 RS last summer
It was worth it,I learned a LOT,
i can make my mig welder buzz with the best of them now!Keep up the good work

Good work man, I have a few rusty places I round under the back plastic panel covering the head liner I need to work on, thank *** my wheels wells are rustless...I was sure I was going to find something but I lucked out. Check this link to see the rust spots I am talking about...

i gutted my iroc, only thing left is the driver seat and dash, there were little rust spots i found that i couldnt see when i bought it... i needed new interior anyway so its a good thing to do....
