That's what happens when you mix a 4 cupholder center console with the 93-96 Camaro dashes.

It's still pretty messy. I need to take it back out and finish up the airbox modification.

It makes the car feel so much nicer lol.

hmm.. I don't know if I like that space.

I am not a fan of the lt1 style 4th gen dashes either.

Good luck getting it in though.

I think the 4th gen firebird dashes look too round for the 3rd gen's boxy style. This dash just seems to flow a lot better. Plus I love how the controls are angled towards the driver.

As for that gap, I'm going to be either filling it in with a custom fiberglass piece to old a LCD screen for my carputer, or just selling that console and buying a console meant for this dash. I bought that console when I still had my 3rd gen dash. I didn't realize there was going to be a gap until I already bought the new dash.

looking pretty good.. still not really a fan of the 4th gen interior swap though, everything just seems to round and bubbly for the sharp lines of a 3rd gen
whats the center console from?

Looks great, though I'd never put one in my Camaro. I save the luxuries of modern automotive design for my daily driver - but I can understand why some 3rdgen owners do the swap, as I also feel the dash design is remarkably spartan.

i like how the newer dashes look in cars, they make the car feel newer.......but i sure wouldnt do it again as the dash simply isnt made for the car
to much custom fiberglass work to make it look nice and as it was put there from the factory

Seriously, the hardest part was getting the old dash out. lol Wiring was pretty simple, especially the gauges. The HVAC still needs a new Hot/Cold cable though. Otherwise everything works.

I modified the switch. The 4th gen switch uses 3 wires for the AC and blower. 3rd gen uses 5 wires. I'll post more details about it later when I have pictures of it.
