Transmission: T5 untill it blows up from to much torque
Axle/Gears: Ford 9" /w auburn pro & 3.89's
warped...



Ok, first off, it was hot out and I was anxious to shave my handles. So.. I took out the lock and handles in about a total of 5min. (made me realize how full proof our locks were. lol ) So, I cut out sheetmetal and welded it in. I didnt butt weld either, just tack welded it.(one side, other side, ect for it doesnt warp) But Viola, it warped! Any suggestions on what I should do, the warps are not deep at all. They are very minor and i just want some input. Just don;t come in here calling me a dumbass because I know I screwed up. Positive comments please.

your going to be using body filler anyway right? Just glaze a smooth surface of body filler over it...unless you want to cut all the metal out and re-do it..which I wouldn't wanna do...

I'm no expert... but, I would either try to hammer to the highspots or take a grinder (depending if you have enough material thinkness to do so w/o going through it ) and take him down and use body filler to smooth it out. Or cut it out and start over.

id say go with the bondo , if you use it right you will never have any problems with it. I mean do a few light coats. The stuff dries in about 3 minutes , so it wont take all do to make it smooth. you just gotta remember when u use bondo that you gotta do it in moderation. I think thats probably the easiest way to do it. Plus you need to use it to make it smooth anyway . Do you have a pic of how much it has warped. If the spots that need to be filled are big u could use tiger hair first, and then the bondo.

im no pro either but id do the hammer/dolly first and if that isnt right then it should be at least better and you can use a filler to get the fine spots finished.

i took my time welding mine shut and still warped the metal...doors are kinda thin metal...dont take much...i just muded mine. If u do it right ull never see it
