Car gets a woody...

So.. everytime im accelerating hard, my 4th gen electric seat grows a mind of its own and starts lifting me... Im sure its an electrical gremlin, but its funny because it only does it when im really on it, or if I am racing.

Anyone else have this problem with their 4th gen seats ?

thats an odd one

look for the wires for the seat i would expect that the pedal is hitting it and grounding the wire frayed it even.

so you say you want to show off huh lol sitting at a light reving the car and getting bigger in the seats lol

I don't think the seat wires run anywhere near the pedal, but it could be frayed wires or a worn switch making contact when accelerating.

... so you race sometimes when you're not really on it?

... is that like a 1/2 throttle race or more like 3/4 throttle.

havent you ever raced a civic/chevette/camry/any 4 cylinder slow car???? its not worth the gas, hence the 1/2 throttle race.

Half of the shiyet on the street that would race me is intimidated by the shaking of the hood at idle, (big cam), and the cut outs. I generally don't street race, against my morals, but some must be shown WTF, so i'll entertain the angry cockroaches (a term used for ryce boys here) in first gear....

Admittedly I like the hard on effect, I do worry about it shorting out something..

you head moves backwards when you hit the gas, but that's not attatched to the gas pedal.

The switch is probably worn out, It sounds as if the increase in current due to the increase speed of the engine is making it arc in the switch, or the contact in the switch is broken loose and the G-force due to acceleration is causing it to close the switch. But I would say either way I would try a replacement switch, but check the wireing going to the servo's it could be moving under acceleration and giving that servo power feed some how.
