Bra for firebird?

Where can I get one? I want to make sure it is the right kind for it since there are so many different firebird front noses, I want to be able to pop the hood also. I can't see to find any. Thanks guys

now is there a reason u need the bra? i personnally hate bras but i can see one using them if their nose is crappy, but be careful the last owner of my bird had a bra on it and left it out in the sun and the bra melted right to the nose and he tried peeling off the bra and took alot of paint off with it. here is a pic of it (sorry about the "damn cats" thing)

Yes, bra's are evil and wrong. My old Camaro had one when I bought it and moisture had gotten underneath it and made the clearcoat cloudy. The bra that was supposed to save the paintjob ruined it.

87Deathbird's car looks like a lot I've seen with bra's. If you get a brand that doesn't fit right, it can "flap" in the wind and wear the paint off. Plus, they went "out" in the 80's along with rear window louvers.

Uh oh, here comes the hateful responses from the pro-louver crowd...

Yeah I personally hate bras myself, but i wet sanded down my nose on my car and it is yellow, and my car is white, so i need something there to make it look decent until the spring. I just picked up two fenders and a GTA hood that are in great shape for when it gets paint for $140. Thats a awesome deal

If you read the documentation for a Bra they will invariably say that they are not for cars that have been recently painted, have a good clear coat, and so forth. In short, a bra is meant to cover a blemish on an aging paint job OR to be used on trips to prevent against bug splatter.

Personally, I liked the way it looked on my Olds:

I like the looks of them on the Firebirds. The one on mine was a $200 Wolf bra and the only one that would ever go back on the car.

my bird had a bra on when i got it, which hide the fact that it had some front end damage.

i personally think that they look sleak and sexy except for the headlight cover it just looks weird.

i to experinced the cloudiness of the paint as well as debris that had been trapped underneath it. definatly take it off when washing the car, and on mine i actually use black shoe polish to shine it up.

If it's the Wolf and it's exactly like mine, you can but you have to pull the hood out of the slots for it, then put it back in with the hood not completely latched and then latch the hood. I thought it looked for a cleaner front end without the two pieces.

I've got a new in the box Wolf bra I got for my 91 Formula a while back that I have decided not to use. Never been on a car. This is the heavy duty one with the real soft nice liner. Let me know if you're interested and we can take it from there. I'm in the Dallas, TX area.
