I'll take the car out of the garage and snap a few pictures too...from a distance...
I bought the grill off of ebay for $25.00, it actually fits in an 98-02 Mustang....I had to hack this thing a TON in order to get it to fit right. I'm not working on putting an outter ring on it....

Love the car. Not so big on the billet insert look. It looks fine, but it's just not my thing.
...I think ChevyKen has one too, and I didn't like his either.
Still, you have one of the sweetest rides on TGO!!!!:hail:

thanks alot fella's
On my old grill, I used "expanded aluminum", it looks pretty cool, but it's was a very thin material...and it wasn't held in place very well....kind of cheap. With this billet grill, it's held in rock tight...also gives it a more custom look, and goes good with my wheels. I also put a "brushed aluminum effect" on the grill so it wouldn't look cheap and be bling-bling'n.

The grille looks good, but I'd paint the backing plate behind it a flat black so you don't notice that all the holes aren't evenly spaced.
(most noticable in pic 1).

, the flash of the camera caused it to lighten up a bit. You can't even see'em when you look at it.
or cut the whole out....thats what I'm gonna do

On mine, I plan to get some stainless mesh, like found on the front of ricers in front of the intercooler, and I'm going mount it using u shaped clips on the edges most likely.
im mixed on them , they dont look bad and they dont look good. I could go either way on them . Its ok , i dont know if id do it but it deffy gives it a different look . I have to see it from a distance to be fully sure.

How did you end up fastening it? Just making it a tight fit?
Good job!

Well, what I did was use thin wire. Here is a graphic I came up with that explains out it is held in
The Wire wraps around a bar in the grill, and then the wire comes out of the back of the holes in the SS hood. I just twisted the wires and it will not move one bit.

I see! That's similar to what I was thinking too. The only difference is that in my hood there is one large oval opening instead of the four circular holes. So I was just gonna put two vertical bars on the inside of the large oval hole, directly behind the bars in the grille and tie them together like you did.
