Can anyone tell me who makes this color and the number, it is {B}Metallic Sapphinre Blue{/B}. The car used is a Third Gen member I believe as well as a CarDomain user.

Those rims look GREAT and all... but, wouldn't you be sort of leary driving around and risking a pothole in the road or the NO NO of a curb rash w/ all that $$ bling on the car?
I'm sorry, but I can't really relate to the BLING... I came up in the '80s
<shhhh, that was the bling bling challenged era by the way>... heh heh !
Anyhow... great looking color and even nicer looking rims on that Camaro.

THE PAINT AND BODY WAS DONE BY TR'S AUTO AND COLLISION ON RT 100 AND RT 309 IN NEW TRIPOLI. THE PAINT IS A METALLIC SAPPHIRE BLUE WITH ULTRA WHITE RACING STRIPES THAT HAVE A BLUE PEARLESCENT CLEARCOAT. THE STRIPES ACTUALLY GLINT A SHADE OF BLUE BECAUSE OF THE SPECIAL CLEARCOAT IN THE SUN AND THE SAPPHIRE BLUE CHANGES TO A REALLY DEEP BLUE/INDIGO COLOR AT NIGHT!
this is right off his page two
so next step for you is to conatact him for the mfg.

You are correct, but....
Correct I got the information originally from the CarDomain site and emailed him about who the paint manufacturer was but have gotten no response yet.
My next thought was to ask the community if they might have come across this color and know who makes it, either Dupont, PPG or House of Kolor.
Again does anyone out there know who the paint manufacturer and the paint number might be????

well if its house of kolor there are a couple ways to get there
Cobalt candy blue about 5-6 coats over a silver base. which is uk05 (candy) over bc02 (orior silver) not an easy paint job to do.
and very expensive at the body shop. and i mean very....
Or you can go with hok KBC05 kandy base coat over silver or black which mimics the look of kandy without all the 3 stage paint steps. it is a base clear by hok that is said to be just as good as a candy job in 2 steps. have not tried it but that is what i have been told.
I have done the 3 stage candy here is the photo. i belive it is the same just less coats of cobalt candy. i have 4 coats on my car. more would be darker.

Dude, Yer just gonna have to have someone custom mix and blow a panel tint and blow another panel, to get the color you're looking for. Good luck!!
Thanks so far...Jeff
Thanks for the tip on the colors. Your combination is not undoable for me and I will look into getting it done.
Have you seen the other car up close to compare? I am most impressed with the violet to blue tones of the photos, knowing that they are not always a good representation of the original.
Can this Cobalt Blue and Silver you mentioned be done in PPG, if so what would the numbers be?
